Unless you need ankle support or have problems with fit, I would recommend that you look at the lightweight trail shoes or fabric/composition lightweight boots rather than the heavier classic hiking boot. They are less expensive, don't require breaking in, dry faster when they get wet and, in my experience, are more comfortable over-all. I use a pair of Montrail Hardrocks for off and on trail hiking in the high western mountains; the only time I use boots is if I anticipate snow and step-kicking and possible cramponing.
