Years ago, I was hiking at Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. There's a trail that runs along the mountaintop (which is actually a ridge); there's a man-made lake on a plateau at one end.

A man came running around the bend, yelling "Run for your life; the dam's broken." Since we were already at the highest point around, I'm not exactly sure where we were supposed to go. And no, we didn't follow him (for a whole bunch of reasons. At least he wasn't naked.)

Oh - the dam was fine.
