You do not sit in a bivvy really,as you know, so a good water proof set and hat is good. Really in there is a cance of high winds or heavy rain, nothing beats a t3nt. But tents are not all equal. Read the abovve high winds and rain, and not sitting in a bivvy comment, and then think of sitting head bent forward, face predded into the inner, or having to lie down, and you get the idea. 8ncidentally i am working on q new bivvy, with a wired peak.
