I finally bought a Eureka Solitaire tent.

Advantages:

I set it up in my back yard and the next two days we had 70 mph winds. It was sheltered some, so it didn't experience the full force, but the winds would have flattened a bigger tent.

It seems a bit warmer at night than a bigger tent. If it's too warm, I can open the flaps.

There is plenty of room on each side of me for what I need.

Easy to set up.

Disadvantages:

Since I can't sit up, I can't put my boots on for those night trips. I've been wearing hiking shoes, but I'd like my boots back.

It's a little heavy, but lighter than my old tent. Much lighter since I got one for my son, too. Now I don't carry a 3 person tent.

For a thru-hike I'd prefer a tent I could sit up in unless I could sleep outside most days.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Gershon
