Hi,

I am new to this forum and would like some advice. My wife and I are planning to walk for two weeks on the Chemin de St. Jacques (GR65) trail in France in July. We are will be camping every night and want to pack as minimalist as possible. The campsites are all in towns and villages, so we won't be cooking and will not need to bring food. I have an Osprey Talon 44, but on a walking tour last year in the UK it was a little too big for my needs (i tended to fill it to capacity and thus overpacked). I am currently debating purchasing either the Osprey Talon 33 or the ULA Ohm 2.0. I have read a lot of really positive reviews of the Ohm (especially about quality) but wonder if it might be, like the Osprey Talon 44, too much pack for my needs. I will probably be carrying less than 18 pounds total (at least as I estimate):

3 pairs of icebreaker t-shirts
2 pairs of prana zip off pants
two pairs of icebreaker underwear
3 pairs of smartwool socks
precip rain jacket
tarplight double rainbow tent
lightweight sleeping quilt
small flashlight

Does anyone have any suggestions? Which pack do you feel would be a better choice? Thanks in advance for any responses.
