Hello Bill Stephenson. I'm going to make a soda can stove and give it a try. Lori has convinced me with the keyboard and guitars on the mountain thing that I should give it a chance. I guess that's sort of a simile? We've been checking out the thrift stores and I watch the used sales. Ha, just reading what you wrote was like looking into my kit! The binos have to go, and I'm dumping the Bowie and leatherman. That's nearly 4lb right there. I told my wife I was only going to bring the clothing that I could wear all at once, but she's not too hip on that idea. Lots of tweaks and you're right, going out and practicing is the key to success. Thanks for the tips, and I'm honored to keep you posted.
