Pentax has formally announced their mirrorless interchangable lens camera system, this one being APS-C format and "compatible with" all K-mount lenses (there are millions). I'd insist on this yellow edition if I were to get one.

So, in less than a year's time we've had Nikon, Fuji and now Pentax join the mirrorless troupe. Canon's pants remain at ankle height. This is an excellent direction for backpacking shooters, as we're able to get top-flight images at a fraction of the weight and bulk of a dslr.

Within a week Oly will announce their first weatherproof µ4/3 body, which brings us to a new level of outdoor competence.
