A university researcher and a government official were performing a study to review Native treatys and how native people's lives had changed. As part of their study they had a long talk to a hundred year old elder. They asked him after watching the changes in the world for a century - where had the white man gone wrong...

The old man thought about it a bit, and replied.

"When the white man came, he found land, with Indians on it, no taxes, no debt, lots of buffalo, and clean water. Women did all the work. The Medicine man was free. Men spent all day walking through the wilds, hunting and fishing, and spent all night having sex..."
