Heh. yeah, I was with someone once who hadn't heard it before - I used to hunt coyotes
back in high school so I knew it - but they just about wigged out. A wounded snowshoe hare up here can sound like a roomful of babies being roasted alive - probably what makes
it so darn creepy.
