I am trying to put together a good list of websites for all the best UL gear. I know of all the 'commercial' gear but the smaller private owned sites always have the best gear. They are also the hardest to find. So far I have this. If you know of more, please let me know.

Wow, there are so many. You almost have to specify what kind of gear you are talking about. Even then there are a ton. If you want a sleeping bag or a quilt then some names are Big Agnes, Nunatak, Western Mountaineering, Jacks R Better, etc. And there are 4 or 5 other places that you haven't mentioned that are great for packs, and 4 or 5 that are great for hiking clothing, and 4 or 5 that are great for tents and tarps, and then we haven't even talked about hydration or cooking.

Lots of sites out there. Tell us what you interest is and we'll supply a bunch of links.

Alcohol stove:
www.clikstand.com Not the lightest, but one of the more efficient (if only it were made of titanium...) Works great with the REI Ti-ware .9L and/or 1.3L pots, or their own line. It also works great with the Evernew .9 and 1.3L titanium pots, now only available at:

www.brasslite.com Another very highly regarded alcohol stove, plus they sell a line of cookware other than Evernew.

Other Gear:
www.sixmoondesigns.com A line of packs, shelters, and related gear that consistently gets high raves on various boards.

www.tarptent.com The "gold standard" for UL tents - though they've grown fast enough to almost be considered mainstream, I suppose.

Hope this helps.

There's an enormous list here from BPL. Unfortunately, they are not linked so you'll have to copy/paste. Frankly, there are a number that I haven't heard of.
