Can anyone tell me a good source for hiking/backpacking boots in a size 16? My feet are narrow as well so finding a pair that fits is very hard, my 12 year old scarpas are wearing out. Thanks!

Maybe try searching boot maker websites? They will usually state the size ranges for their models. Plus, you could contact them directly to inquire within about large sizes.

Found a couple pairs of Vasques in size 16 about 6 years ago. It was a miracle. They were close-outs. Bought two extra for my son - size 16. He'll have hiking boots for a while. They weren't narrow though. Just the usual width.

Haven't seen anything like it since. (We also called Vasque at the time. They just laughed.)

Limmer (limmerboots.com) makes size 16 in the mid-weight and standard boots, but those are pretty heavy. I didn't find the women's boots to be particularly narrow (I have wide toes but narrow heels) - seemed about average. They do make custom boots as well, but that's another portion of the company.

You can search at Sierra Trading post by size; currently I saw they have a 17, but no styles in size 16. That could change at any time, I'd guess.

Good luck!

New balance has some light weight hikers in a 16 B I ordered those. I will be going for custom made now I guess.

Dunham Waffle Stompers come in 15B. Kind of fugly, but maybe you can decorate them with glitter, sequins, or a black magic marker.

If you go the custom route, keep me posted. I may have to do that myself. My right foot is about a 14AA, while my left is a 13C.
