Excellent! You're having way too much fun in Canyonlands. Are you selling that bandana on your head on ebay? How are English survivalists dealing with the pending hops shortage?

We subjects of her majesty the queen are watching hops prices nervously and marvelling at the preparedness of our rebellious ex colonies - While we are faced between a decision pitting beer against financial ruin ( an easy decision for any true Canadian..) - As we are all aware from trips to the United States, You folks seem to have had the uncanny foresight to prepare for this by for many years exploiting an all organic natual method of brewing "beer" without the need for hops:
The fortitude you have all shown in aquiring a taste for this stuff nationally to prepare for this eventuality is amazing.
Hey Phat, Alberta, Canada, eh? You think OUR beer is bad? Ever hear of MOLSON'S or LABATT'S???
I'm not proud of many things American but I AM proud that Colorado has one of the highest number of microbreweries per capita that produce great stouts, porters, & pale ales.

Denver eh? Two words back at ya.. Coors and Coors lite. Of course, the biggest indicator of how bad that is that Molson's bought it I recall being stuck in a hotel on Arapahoe road in Denver on a consulting gig and having to give up and drive to Boulder to find some buddies and decent beer

Touche. But we DO have great beer here. Next time you're in Denver, look me up and I'll buy you a pint to prove it to you!

Could you please submit your "Macedonian Compass" plans to the 'make your own gear section'? And, I've found your Kalahari Tribesman friendship/trust dance works really well with the police. We can learn so much from true survival experts like you!
Thanks for defending US and Colorado microbrews. My favorite is Tommyknockers in Idaho Springs. Can't get on I-70 without pullin' off there for the darkest thing they have like a Black Powder Stout -- or that deal where you get to taste 6 different decent-sized-glasses of microbrew, then get back on I-70 -- hmmmm -- then dodge falling rocks past Georgetown, or drive like you're dodging falling rocks past Georgetown.
phat:
Yeah, okay, you guys got Steam Whistle for something lighter or Granville Island Gastown Amber Ale for something darker and hundreds in between, by my question remains: I know why you posted that photo (very funny jab at Budweiser, Miller, Coors, et al), but why did you take that photo?
Can't we just all get along? Can't we find peace and harmony? Can we not sit down at the campfire together and drink an Indian Pale Ale with our northern bretheren in Canada and forget our past differences (like $2 coins) and find a common ground, even if it's not NAFTA? Perhaps we could share our knowledge of the Oil Sands Extraction Miracle?
[deleted so as not to offend my Canadian friends] Jim
Jason - great video dude.
I just saw "Survivorman" for the first time this week (I don't do much TV). You nailed it, dude.
Phat, I have two buddies up North...Bob and Doug, i think, who said they found a baby mouse in their beer, ehh? They took it back to the factory and those hosers gave them a case for free! Does that really work?
