You have a great dog pack! My dog has the Kelty Sherpa, the predecessor to the Chuckwagon. It's wonderful to be able to remove the dog's pack during rest stops without having to take off the whole harness and put it back on again. It's also great for crossing dicey streams--I can remove his pack but have a cord attached to his harness to keep him from being swept away. I know that one of the Ruff Wear models also allows the pack to be detached from the harness, but I haven't seen any others that have this feature.

Thanks for the tip. It might be time to use part of my dividend to try out some Triptease line.

REI has free shipping of anything ordered on their internet site if it is sent to one of their stores - and you go pick it up. So if you live near a REI you do not have to worry about shipping. And if you do not like it, they refund your money and still no shipping costs.
