Im currently reading Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey. I like it a lot to say the least. I also read "Beyond the Wall" and enjoyed that thoroughly. Can anyone recommend any other books written by Abbey?
I know I could read the reviews on Amazon.com but I like the feedback on here much more.
What, you haven't read The Monkey Wrench Gang? I would imaging it's a little dated now, but it's great fun fiction. If you've ever seen a dam that shouldn't be there, you'll have an appreciation for this tale.
Any of the essay collections are good reading: Down the River The Journey Home
Loc: Portland, OR
Well, hmmm, The Monkey Wrench Gang was hardly a deathless piece of art, either. It mostly works because of the infectious gusto Abbey brought to the subject of eco-sabotage, not because the characters, plot, or style are outstanding.
