Anyone get the new Aqua Star Plus UV water treatment unit yet?

I'm interested in the Aqua Star, v.s. the Steri-Pen Adventurer. The Aqua Star Plus sells for $77. and is very light. Check it out on the website or at Brigade Quartermaster's online catalog.

I'm looking for light weight, of course, but durability is the most important quality. I particularly want it for winter camping.

Demo,
Great. That's the kind of opinion I want to hear. Those little "toys" are expensive but UV seems to be the fastest lightweight way to get clean water.

My Aqua Star Plus failed. Great concept, but I'd use them only with backup.

I have a Steri-Pen, model uncertain and loved the concept, but abandoned it due to the weight (around 6 oz. in its protective box). Be aware that at times under field conditions it simply refused to work. Why? You've got me. It also required a very wide mouth bottle.
Lack of reliability required a backup, so I reasoned, why bother?
