I spent 2 days exploring the headwaters to the Tellico River in TN and taking in the beautiful scenery. This part of the river is in the Cherokee National Forest which is operated by the US Forest Service. I visited there during the government shut-down but the area was still open for use.

Mark, goodjob that was simply spectacular. So much beauty and tranquility. These places are why I love to be outdoors and sights like those bring tears to my eyes. Thanks so much for taking the time to post that video. Reminds me of a lyric from a Jimi Hendrix song "Blue are the life giving waters taken for granted". And oh how the human race takes all of what we have here for granted so often.

Many of my backpacking trips revolve around the Tellico River in some way---either at Bald River wilderness or up at the fish hatchery and the Benton MacKaye trail crossing the river bridge. Of course here is Baby Falls---

I am a whitewater kayaker. Been years since I ran the upper Tellico and baby falls. I love Tenn. Great pictures. Bald River falls which is close by is also impressive
