I'm not seeing images users (myself included) have linked to using the "Enter an image" button.

Bill, try it now, see if it works for you. I just inserted the two images you referred to using the "enter an image" option from the menu (4th from the left on the post menu).

Apparently, images will not appear retroactively. In other words, using your original post in this thread as an example, the image behind url ozarktrips.com/sources/4-knife.jpg will not retroactively appear subsequent to my fixing the problem. But if you simple hit the "edit" button and resave your post, it will (or should) appear.

So if anyone has made a post subsequent to the Thanksgiving database crash that caused this problem, they need to do this edit routine to make their images appear.

Bill, I did the edit on your post in the "Gadget" forum in order to test and your image appeared.

I'd love to fix my first TR, but the option to edit my posts is no longer available to me. Would a mod be willing to?

I did that edit for you so now the images in your trip report should reappear.

BTW, the edit function has a time limit, that is why you were not able to do the edit yourself.

I just did an auto rebuild of all posts and I think now all images should appear retroactively. In other words, I think this problem is fixed and everything is back to normal. (please let me know if you find otherwise).

I just upgraded my computer so I wasn't sure if that was a bug in my stuff or a glitch in the forum software. Glad to see it working now!!!
