Am out hunting this afternoon, and it started out as a nice warm day. I found a nice scrape on a deer trail, so I set myself up overlooking the area. Behind me is a dead fall pine tree that acted nice as a backdrop and wind screen. Now that I'm all settled in, the wind had completely changed direction and is hitting me straight on. I've only got 1 more layer to put on. After that it may get a bit chilly.

It's funny how things change so quickly. I grabbed my phone intending to say how peaceful and quiet it is out. The ruffed grouse is by the apple trees to my left, the sun on my face, the wind at my back... yeah right. Sun behind the clouds now and wind in my face.

Well, time to layer up!
