How bout temporarily staging vending machines all along the intersections of the PCT a few weeks before the hiker start passing through. If you time it just right, you could have five months of some really good business. And if you would please keep the prices within reason or even at break even. You could become the first mechanical trail angel...
Franchise to all the other trails.. Ok, this would really kill the adventure... So please don't do this...

There was a story on NPR yesterday that was about a girl scout setting up a table selling cookies next to a medical dispensary. She said she sold much more than last year in front of the super market.
