I don't know how many of you know what HDR is or even use it. I personally love it. I gave my D5000 to my parents and missed the ability to take stunning photos and turn them into HDR's when I got home but it weighted to much and I was always being asked to take photos of family gathering.... got old quick!!!

So I've been using my iPhone with good success and have been very happy with it. sure they aren't print quality but I found that I normally just wanted good photos for digital photo frames and background images on my computer.

I was sorley disappointed with the HDR function in built in to the camera app on my phone. In looking for a better one I found pro HDR App for my phone and I love it! While it doesn't produce images like this:

It does make for some great photos on outings like this (This image has been resized for the website I got it off of. Normally they are full quality at 8MP)

For only 1.99 its a pretty good app!!

Happy Shooting!

At a backpacking lightweight perspective that is a great App and will save you from having to carry around a bulky camera, but im a sucker for the old fashion way of using DSLR camera to adjust the effects on your own because the possibilities are endless with that
