golite has a sale on the Tumelo jacket and pants right now, I'm wondering if the extra weight and cost over the driducks set is worth purchasing for possible added durability?

Googling brought up a lot of reviews of the GoLite Tumalo. I read a couple and suggest you read quite a few. The Tumalo would definitely be more durable than DriDucks, but not as breathable. Hopefully someone here has had experience with them?

I have the Golite jacket but not the pants. OregonMouse is correct on the durability front - DriDucks are simply not as durable, at least this has been my experience. They are also not as waterproof. The Golite has a hydrostatic head that is about 3 times greater. The DWR is very good so no wetting out....yet. Which is more breathable? Well the Tumalo has pit zips so the ability to regulate heat is very good. I wish the hood was a little more helmet compatible when I am climbing but for the price, I can't think of anything coming close to the overall performance.
