Anybody ever done this Delvil's River trip. When I was very young, before Lake Amistad was built, my family used to camp at Devil's Lake. It was formed by a small dam across the Devil's River, and was a virtual oasis. It now lies under nearly 100 feet of water near Rough Canyon Marina.

I am interested in logistics, shuttle possibilities, take out fees, etc. It sounds as if you have to pay someone if you want to take out before the Rough Canyon because it is bordered by private property. I have been up Devil's River by boat as far as where the water turns emerald green due to the influence of mineral springs. That leg would be a haul over some exposed water in a canoe.
