I'm going bivy - and in researching I've found what I think to be the one I want to get - the Mountain Laurel Designs Soul Bivy - Long, as I'm 6'3".

I plan to use it with a small Integral Designs Poncho Tarp - but not sure if that will be big enough to cover?

Anyway - if anyone has one of these I'd love to hear your comments as to breathability and ability to keep water out.

If you have the zip version - then is it worth it or would you be good enough without the side zip?
