'New Post' search?

I hope this isn't too basic of a question, but I can't seem to find a 'New Posts' link.

Every other forum I am part of has one of these links on the main menu bar.

Am I going blind, or is there no such button?

Go to "active topics" drop down screen and you will find what your looking for, kind of:)

Why can't I reply on certain posts? Seems overly complicated for a forum.

Not sure, I've never had a problem posting where ever.

You can't post in the Buy and Sell section until you have been around a while and are no longer in "newbie" status. This is to protect both buyer and seller, so they know something about each other first.
