Adventure Racing

I am looking for a forum to learn more about adventure racing.
I plan on starting my training this week. I need some more info. I dont exactly know where to start.
I had originally wanted to start trail running. I believe the adventure racing would be a better fit.
Any info would be great!

You probably won't pick up a lot here. We may have one or two members who also do adventure racing, but about 95% of the content here is about backpacking in the United States: going for multi-day walks (not runs) carrying your gear on your back, and camping overnight.

I know I don't have anything to contribute, other than I've never encountered someone running a trail and looking happy about it. Backpackers tend to smile a lot more.
