google maps of the major trails.

I've been away from hiking for two years now(no jail time wasn't involved). my go to primary planning maps were on "Postholer". Now, trying to do a lil day dreaming, I find they are no longer available. does anyone know where they're available to view? I know Goggle earth has them...but trying to follow a trail on that is challenging, at best. the trail markings are so faint that I spend an inordinate amount of time.. trying to review, what should be, a well established
route.

https://caltopo.com has USGS maps overlaying google earth. Quite a few different layer options. I use it to route find and print out paper trail maps.

I use acmemapper for the same thing---you can print out in whatever size or scale you want.
