Did not see this coming. She might prove an advocate for self-propelled backcountry enthusiasts, which would be nice for a change. She at least knows we exist!

She's also a former oil company (Marathon?) executive. I don't mean that as a slam, either. I think her experience in that industry, coupled with her experience in the outdoor industry, might give her some unique perspectives on many environmental and outdoor issues, help her communicate with both sides - and how to avoid the nut-jobs that lurk on the extreme edges of both sides.

Does this mean we get a 10% patronage dividend on camping fees? smile
