Any standard recommendations under a $100?

I don't know about current price or model number but I have been using an Excalibur five tray dryer for seven years now and have had good service from it. Uniform drying and excellent temperature control are two of the best features.

I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FFV...0HFTXSS30D6W2YQ

It rocks. Way better than others I have used. Price is extremely reasonable.

IF you plan on doing "saucy" type foods make sure you get the fruit roll up sheets. This way the "sauce" can dry as well.

IMO skip the tary liners and just use parchment paper cut to fit. Easy to peel the food off!
