Using NNN binding on 3 hole ski - 08/12/11 11:19 AM
Last year I picked up a used XC rig with 3-hole bindings and boots. The boots disintegrated after a few uses. At the REI garage sale I picked up NNN boots and a set of bindings. The bindings are Rottefella brand. I believe they are designed to ride in a track on the ski. My skis do not have this track. Is there a mounting plate I can purchase and mount that will accept this binding? My internet searches were fruitless.
The rivets in the binding appear to align with the 3-pin binding mounting holes. If I cannot find a mounting plate, my plan is to drill out the rivets and mount them directly (permanently?) using epoxy. My skiing is limited to very recreational local trails where a gear failure is not the end of the world. Any help would be appreciated.
