Freeze dried in number 10 cans

I don't buy Mountain House types of foods anymore. I find things in bulk at the local organic store much cheaper.

But some things are hard to find. Here is a good source for things like vegetables, eggs, cheese, etc.

I found packitgourmet.com an excellent source for freeze-dried meats and cheese (I won't eat even fresh eggs, so cannot advise on dried ones).

When I buy veggies and fruits I usually buy from www.harmonyhousefoods.com - they sell a mix of dried and freeze-dried. I just avoid the dried corn, green beans and green peas in regular dried as they take forever to rehydrate. Top quality.

Beprepared though is a good company as well if you use a lot in a season for meat.

As for freeze dried cheese, I have never loved it. Parmesan in a can works for me or I pack in fresh cheddar. Just tastes better to me.

Also on bulk items at the natural foods stores? Go to the source! http://www.frontiercoop.com/ that is the provider of all those bulk bins. They do free shipping for over $75 and are quick. Their carrots and tomatoes are some of the best dried ones around, the cheese powders are wonderful.
Also they have an email list they send coupons to, I get 20% off one often.

The store you linked to has a walk-in store a couple miles from my office. I go in every so often on my lunch break to get stuff. I don't buy the dehydrated #10 can stuff from them because it is a little more than buying it at Walmart or Winco.
