Strange idea. Doesn't seem to be any kind of improvement over what I normally bring. More of a step backwards in terms of nutrition vs. weight.

Probably not good for backpacking because too much bulk for the weight and calories of the food but I certainly might try leaving it in the car at the trailhead for when I get back.

It looks like the Co. might be having "issues".
If you are after premade pack sandwiches you should
consider the MRE sandwiches. I have tried the new 1st
strike sandwiches and they are not bad. I ate mine cold
but I'm sure if it had been warm it would have tasted much better.
Either way I'm keeping some on hand, even cold they are OK.
