Driving to Alaska with my dog question - 01/26/18 10:10 PM

Haa anyone had issues bringing their pet back into the US through Customs? I will be driving through Canada so I will run into customs in the Alaska border and then on the way back in washington

I haven't done it, but you should have both a rabies and health certificate from your vet. I think there's also a time limit on when they're acceptable, so be sure to check. Lots of folks don't get asked for them, but if you do get asked, and you don't have the appropriate certificates with the proper dates, they can refuse to let your dog though.

Actually, the requirements to enter Canada (which you'll be doing each way) are also important and may be more strict. It appears that a $30 fee is requred along with a personal inspection.
