Old Age Sets In -A True Story - 01/25/24 04:27 AM
A true story - I'll bet some of you can relate.
I was on the last leg of my daily walk,when I met a very attractive and friendly young woman out walking her dog. She had him off to the side of the street, teaching him to sit and heel. I love dogs, and stopped a short distance away to watch for a minute. She noticed me watching, and said, "He's learning!"
So I walked over and we introduced ourselves, and she told me the dog's name was Wally. We chatted briefly, mostly about dogs, and I patted Wally, who responded with puppy eagerness.
When I got home, though, I realized that old age had finally set in...I could remember the dog's name, but not hers.
