Zuppa Toscana wouldn’t be the same without it . Perhaps some serious cooking instruction is in order? Let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water.
I'll out myself as a satisfied kale-eater since about 1990. Before that I hadn't discovered it yet. You all can continue to reject it. Tastes are personal and mostly non-transferable.
That is similar to the way I was told to cook catfish. Put it on a board, add butter and spices. Bake for 3o minutes and throw the fish away and eat the board.
I am not sure what is different with catfish now. When I was young my mother cooked some and it just had so many bones that it was almost impossible to eat.
