Due to inflation and food price increases the 5 second rule has been extended to 10 seconds.
Does this still apply if you're on Social Security?

Not if the enhanced COLA comes through
But Joe Namath and William Shatner both told me to call you to check my zip code (like I don't already know it), and to make sure I was getting everything I'm entitled to!
