High Uintas Wilderness - 06/10/18 09:13 PM

New here, not entirely new to backpacking. Glacier, Philmont, and Shasta, and midwest and adirondaks but those dont seem to compare. We had planned Pecos but that of course has been closed.

Planning on Henry Forks Trailhead, to Kings Peak, along high line trail to Red Castle, and back to Henry Fork TH.

Is this reasonabke in 5 or 6 nights?

Will parking lot be full in late June?

How crowded is this trail likely to be?

Any other tips?

Many thanks.

Late June may be a few weeks too early, unless this year's snow pack is unusually low. Mid-July is the usual earliest time, and some years it may still have a lot of snow. Check the snow levels and have a lower altitude Plan B.
