Very New to backpacking with no idea? - LONDON

Hi everyone!
So my name is Claire and I am super new to the idea of backpacking! I am 28, and wanted to take this up as a hobby!
is there only from London UK area? That I can talk to about this? and maybe join someday? As non of my friends are into this...

One thing i do is i take local trails in national parks in the evening and when i'm tired i set up camp and head back the next morning. Its a really fun sport. As i live in colorado i don't know what the trails are like in london but i'm sure you can find some!!!!

Not sure you are talking about the same kind of backpacking, since London is a city and not sure there is a lot of wilderness left in the UK - this forum is about putting all your gear in a pack plus food and going into the wilds for days at a time, not putting clothes in a pack and riding or walking around from hostel to hostel, aka European backpacking.
