Need Backpacking friends?!

In new to backpacking and really excited about my new hobbie, my brother was supposed to be my backpacking buddy but flaked out like usual.
is there anywhere that ppl go to get hooked up w/ groups or trips or anything?
Let me know im in southern california and looking to go to yosmite or anywhere in driving distance.

You may also want to try looking on meetup.com for any backpacking/camping groups in your area.
