I have a new pair of Wolverine Harrison wpf boots and was wondering if anyone had ever used them for hiking or backpacking? Thanks for any info.

No they are way too heavy to hike in. I use a boot that is much lighter and also waterproof. I like to keep my hiking boots around 1 1/2 pounds if possible...sabre11004...

Do you already have a pair? Are they broken in? and comfortable? If so, wear them, even if they are a little heavy.
Starting from scratch, I would look for something a little lighter....

I'm new to backpacking myself and wondered about boots. Wear my steel toe Justin boots everyday. I used these for my first day hike and did 8 miles. No problem with my feet. Course they were a couple of months old and broke in but I think if your use to a pair of boots you have they'll work. Been a couple of others trips with mine and no problem.
