Good Southern California Backpacking Trail

Hey all, first time post. I am planning a backpacking trip for this spring/summer. I am in Southern California and am in need of a good 3-5 mile trail. I have backpacked a few times to Kearsarge lakes and loved that location. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Looking for something with a lake, river or stream in the mountains, away from the highway with water clean enough to filter to drink. Any info would be a great help.
