so are coffee pots safe? The ridge on the bottom of the some cans fit perfect on the tines of the pocket rocket making it very stable and i dont like shopping at walmart for anything. i also just like the idea of the "hobo" cookware. (just as long as im not poisoning myself)--- thanks in advance for the heads up.

A coffee pot should be safe enough on a camp stove - no different from an aluminum cook pot in that respect. It shouldn't poison you. I use an Open Country aluminum 2qt pot. Costs about $12 at REI. Weighs about 7 oz. Works fine.
