Constellation guide? - 07/04/09 10:31 PM
I've been hunting like crazy for a 'pocket-sized', 'lightweight', or 'backpacking friendly' book that covers constellation information: location, history, mythology, etc. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Forever grateful if so!

You bet!
The Audubon Society Field Guide to the Nigh Sky

You might also pick up a planisphere.

Kindly fill out your profile so we know where you are and what you are into.

I agree with the Planisphere. I love mine. It has a dark background so you don't go blind if you are using a flashlight (or you could use a flashlight with a red filter on it). It is completely flat, so you can slide it in your pack easily.

The iPhone has the StarWalk application.
Absolutely mind boggling.

While not a book, the free app "
Stellarium" is pretty darn cool and will help you learn more about location, history, mythology, etc.
It even runs on a Mac
