I had to call Garmin today to get help downloading maps for a friend's Nuvi GPS. Great customer service rep walked me through the process when the downloader program wouldn't work (a common problem apparently). He was in Oregon, so you aren't getting someone reading from a script in a second language. I told him I had a Garmin 76CSx, so we talked about it for a few minutes. He also sent me some directions for my friend for downloading updates on her Mac.
If you are thinking about getting a GPS, Garmin definitely gets extra points for service.
btw, if you are downloading maps, you have to turn off the sleep feature unless you have it set to something like 2-3 hours. Mine was set to 20 minutes and when the computer went to sleep, it interrupted the download, which took more than an hour and that was using a cable high speed connection running at about 20mps.
