I saw this ad and wondered if anyone had ever seen or used this gadget. It claims to generate electricity by converting the kinetic energy from your movement. I know that there are things that can be powered that way, like watches, but it's the first thing I have seen that was touted for recharging of personal electronics. Here's a link nPower PEG. Any thoughts?

Doing the math from the meager specs on their web site, it looks like it puts out around 12ma 5v at a walk. At that rate it would take about 80 hours of walking to charge my Palm TX. Too low to be of much use and it weighs 12oz. I'll pass.
