Over the 4th, I took a Svea 123 from the early 70's out for a spin. My friend thought it was cool, it ran sweet. It was my vintage gear trip finally, although I never had one when I was bping then, alway cooked over a fire.

Duane,
I never carried the SVEA on my epic backpacking trips when I was young because it was too heavy, instead I cooked over a fire. My mom bought me the Svea when I was 18 and I don't think it actually got used for about ten years and then was replaced by a whisperlight. I had the small Svea pressuriser and the stove NEVER ran correctly. Over the years I lost the pressuriser and when I started the Svea without it, it worked perfectly.
