Just wanted to see if anyone has ever used a Magellan Explorist 210...if so, what did you think of it?

I got one this past Christmas and after finding out how much it costs and the fact it doesn't really come with any useful maps, was kind of disappointed to see if I wanted trail maps I would have to pay over $140 to get some.

Tried to see if there were any free maps out there to be had, but have not found any.

Also, if anyone knows of any good websites on how exactly to use this GPS, mind sharing please? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Can't really figure out any features other than watching how far I have walked.

I recently picked up a Magellan Triton 300. The instruction manual is pretty good. I got my maps from the Nat Geo site www.topo.com.
I bought a set of the Topo Explorer maps. You get 25 Superquad map downloads for $24.95. The software is fairly easy to use and the maps are OK,

You always down load a manual from http://www.magellangps.com/ or you can use the "Ask Maggie" feature.
