Brunton Raptor Stove Fuel question - 08/23/08 11:50 AM

Hi all,

I'm new to backpacking and I just recently bought a brunton raptor stove. However, they didn't have the brunton iso-propane canister so i bought a jet boil iso-propane canister. However, after reading the label it said "use only with jet boil products." Is this going to cause a problem when I go hiking.

Thank you all for your time and advice.

You shouldn’t have a problem. My experience has been that all of the screw on style butane and isobutane cylinders are interchangeable. I have tried various brands. They all seem the same to me. Some of them such as the isobutane have propane added to make it work better at cooler temperatures that is all.
