No More stuffing a platypus into my UL pack ! - 07/09/08 01:07 PM

I wonder if they have my size - It wouldn't hurt my man boobies to be a little
bigger, and it would probably distribute weight better than putting a platy
in my backpack. Judging by the capacity if I wore both of them I could even
random camp away from water sources without having to significantly alter
my manly profile:

The Heck with Platypus Bottles....

Course I dunno if their customer service would be as nice to me as Cascade Designs
is for waranty stuff

My dear PHAT,

You may have just found THE answer to THE question no one has asked. I vote for "The Wine Rack" for you. You don't need another beer belly!

"Seriousnessly" though, distributing weight to the front is a good idea. I confess to ALWAYS carrying my Dana Designs "Wet Rib" front pouch that attatches to my lower shoulder strap webbing. As opposed to their "Dry Rib" it holds a water bottle in a bottle holder attatched the big main pouch where I carry maps, food & other "necessaries".

I use my Wet Rib bottle for mixing & carrying Cytomax or Propel electrolyte drink.
Gotta have it for the steep uphills and hot days.

brilliant!!
The "wine rack" is interesting too, though it will bring about a different reaction than the beer gut from the opposite sex.

i wonder how much it weighs...

And will the new MSR hyperflow filter attach to it? Inquiring minds want to know...

I already have a slight beer gut but could still get away with the beer belly bladder. If I add the wine rack it may just even the whole system out. Also, if I carried the intended beverage instead of H2O, I might be a few xtra days getting out of the woods.

Here in Memphis,(famous for ribs) we have wet and dry. I'm partial to wet ribs. You can get the best dry ones at the Rendevous resturant downtown.
