A good place to get your tyvek - 02/11/08 05:50 PM

Just google campcovers or frequentfire for your tyvek needs, I have bought from both in the past and had very good experience

Speaking of tyvek, I noticed last night while reading some kite lit' that the tyvek was mentioned as being waterproof and light they were using. Apparently tyvek comes in a multitude of types Just have to find the right one for your needs

Yep. Think of "Tyvek" as a word like "Nylon". You wouldn't walk into a shop and just ask for Nylon. Tyvek has been around a long time. The first time I saw it was when I took apart a 5-1/2" floppy disk - the sleeve is lined with Tyvek. This was quite different from the Tyvek that showed up in FedEx envelopes, which is different from the Tyvek used to wrap houses.

Yeah, the FedEx envelope Tyvek is more waterproof than housewrap IME.....now to just tape all these envelopes together
