Ultralight Trekking Poles with Special Requirement - 10/25/17 02:52 PM

Hello,

I'm looking for a set of trekking poles.

Here are my requirements:
As light as possible
Must collapse to around 22"
Must have a grip that accepts a 1/4-20 stud threaded into the top of it (or I must be able to install this type of grip on the pole by myself)

So far I've found Gossamer gear poles. The LT5 looks like it would be what I am after, but I don't think they have the threaded grip. The LT4S seems like it would do what I'm after (not sure of the thread pitch in the insert), but they don't collapse short enough.

Which poles would you recommend?

Thanks!

Leki Carbonlite
Weight: 14.7 ounces
Collapse length: 24.8in
Grips has 1/4 20 stud thread and comes with a stud for cameras if that is the intended use.

Why 22in? I have these poles and they diagonally fit into my 22in carry on for trips if that is why you are asking. Side note: Trekking poles are not allowed to be carried on and have to be in a check bag for US TSA.

Leki Carbonlite poles are what I have, and I love them!
